In Colorado you have a choice!

You can have raw milk legally through Colorado Senate Bill 05-055. This bill endorses the right of consumers to contract with a dairyfarm to recieve the production from their own cows via a cow/herd share program. You purchase a share of a cow/herd and contract with a dairyfarm to board your cow. The dairyfarm cares for the cow, milks her and packages the milk for you and your family.

Kinikin Corner Dairy started November 2005 with four cows and a small dedicated group of share-owners. Growth has been steady and we now milk 18 cows but are still in our original open barn with two milking stalls. We are currently renovating an older grade A dairy facility which we hope to move into sometime in 2009. The renovation includes a cheese room and we plan on making a few artisan hard aged cheeses.

We do our best to operate naturally, staying as close to organic standards as possible. No confinement. During summer the cows are on green grass and in winter are fed dry hay in the same pastures. We do not feed any grain. Milk is tested monthly.

The cows are healthy, happily spoiled and all have names.

Please look around our website. Can we board a cow for you?   Please give us a call!
