By the spring of 2006 we had purchased five more cows from the same dairy in Idaho and were raising our first batch of calves. Our plans to build a small grade A milking facility were superceeded by the need to provide more shelter for the cows and calves. We decided to just add on to the end of the original two stall shed. One end for the calves and the other for the cows. We continued to work on the milk room addition to the house. By fall we had pruchased another three cows locally and again had to add to the sheds. The winter of 2006 was crowded, but everyone survived.
