We have tested our milk monthly from the very beginning. We started with the diagnostic lab at Colorado
State University. They provided total count of bacteria of any isolates.
The normal 'bug' was Coagulase Negative Staph. Sometimes an environment step and e. Coli. Since April
of 2008 we have sent milk samples to Microbial Research in Fort Collins. The milk sample is tested for
Salmonella, E. Coli 0157:H7, Coliform and SPC.
We have tested a few times for Listeria. |
